I am Jing, designer, and owner of sustainable fashion jewelry brand Upcycle with Jing.
For me, Upcycle with Jing is much more than just a sustainable fashion brand; it is about bringing something unique and elegant to the table – without harming the environment.
I add a part of myself to every piece of jewelry I sell. Most of my designs embody the natural elements that Upcycle fights to protect through sustainable manufacturing. Inspiration comes from the floral around the globe, earthly beauties, and of course, humanity’s innate attraction to the natural world.
I create such unique pieces solely from recycled PET plastic bottles I collected here in Helsinki, to reduce plastic waste productively, prevent the creation of new plastic, and protect the natural world from the harmful processes used to generate traditional jewelry materials.
In many ways, my designs are much more than jewelry; they are daily reminders of just how fantastic our beautiful Earth truly is. They are the embodiment of our natural world and the global movement dedicated to protecting it.
When you purchase a product from us, you are purchasing much more than jewelry; you are buying a piece of designer art with a real impact on the world we live in.

Why is it important to shop locally?
It supports your local community by shopping locally, you are directly contributing to your local community helping it to thrive. Otherwise, you will most probably be supporting a giant chain, meaning your local businesses will suffer. By supporting local businesses, you are in turn helping your local economy by creating more jobs. The more we support them, the more jobs will be created and the better off our local communities will be. Another of the great things about independent businesses is that they’re run by dedicated people, and you will likely get to know them and they have interesting stories as to how their stores came to be. Every time you buy you are making a difference in the lives of many.
That’s why I continuously promoting and supporting local brands, artisans, artists, and especially newbie entrepreneurs like me based in Finland. Check the video below- Featuring the local makers/artists/businesses.
